About Viewing Angels

Is Viewing Angels an in-home care agency?

No. Viewing Angels is a technology company, not a care staffing agency. We do not send caregivers or aides into the home. Our service is entirely technology-based — HD cameras, motion sensors, door sensors, a family app, and optional remote monitoring by trained professionals.

What exactly does remote senior monitoring technology include?

The Viewing Angels system includes live 4K HD video cameras, motion sensors, door and entry sensors, two-way audio, and a family mobile app. Optional 24/7 live monitoring and flexible schedule monitoring by our trained team are also available.

What areas does Viewing Angels serve?

Viewing Angels currently serves Abilene, TX and surrounding West Texas communities within a 25 mile radius. Contact us at info@viewingangels.com to confirm service availability in your area.

Monitoring Options

Is someone watching my loved one 24 hours a day?

24/7 monitoring by a trained monitoring professional is available as an optional add-on. Families can also self-monitor through the family app, which provides real-time video, motion alerts, and 14-day activity history. A flexible schedule monitoring option is also available for families who need coverage at specific times.

What is flexible schedule monitoring?

Flexible schedule monitoring allows families to have our trained team watch over their loved one during specific time windows — such as overnight, on weekends, or during times when family members are unavailable. It's a practical middle ground between self-monitoring and full 24/7 coverage.

How does the family app work?

The family app gives you a live video feed, instant motion and door sensor alerts, 14-day activity history, and two-way audio from your smartphone. Multiple family members can share access to the same account. Siblings in different cities can all receive the same alerts and view the same live camera feed, which helps keep everyone informed and reduces miscommunication about a loved one's wellbeing.

Equipment & Setup

What equipment is required?

Viewing Angels installs HD cameras, motion sensors, and door and entry sensors in your loved one's home. The system runs over existing home internet — no special wiring or construction is required. Installation typically takes under two hours with no drilling or permanent modifications.

Does my loved one need to do anything to set up the system?

No. Our team handles the entire installation. Your loved one doesn't need any technical knowledge. Once the system is set up, it runs automatically in the background.

For the family app, we walk each authorized family member through the setup process so everyone is comfortable using it from day one. Whether you're local or across the country, we make sure you know how to access the live feed, read your alerts, and reach your loved one through two-way audio before we consider the job done.

What if my loved one's internet goes down?

The system requires an active home internet connection to stream live video and send alerts. If the internet goes down, the cameras and sensors will not be able to transmit data until the connection is restored. We recommend a reliable internet provider for uninterrupted monitoring.

Privacy & Security

Is remote monitoring an invasion of privacy?

Privacy is one of the most common concerns families bring to us — and it's a fair one. We work with every family to place cameras thoughtfully, focusing on safety rather than surveillance. Your loved one knows exactly what is being monitored and who has access. Many seniors find they quickly grow comfortable with the system, especially once they see that it gives them more independence, not less.

Who can see the camera footage?

Only authorized family members with access to the app can view the live camera feed. If optional 24/7 or flexible schedule monitoring is active, our trained monitoring team can also view the feed during their assigned hours. No one outside of these authorized users has access.

Health & Safety

Can Viewing Angels help with dementia or wandering?

Yes. Door and entry sensors trigger instant alerts the moment an exterior door opens — a critical safety feature for seniors with dementia or Alzheimer's who may be at risk of wandering. Combined with live video and optional 24/7 monitoring, the system provides an important layer of protection.

Cost & Getting Started

How much does Viewing Angels cost?

The initial consultation is free. Installation and monthly monitoring plan pricing depends on the combination of equipment and monitoring options selected for your loved one's specific situation.

If your plan is to self-monitor through the family app, our basic plan includes one 4K camera and a 1 year monitoring subscription for a one time cost of $250. This includes the installation and user setup for one person. Email us at info@viewingangels.com for updated pricing if you need to add additional cameras or sensors to the basic plan. No matter what plan you go with, you own the equipment and you can add or remove any additional users at any time.

Is there a contract or long-term commitment?

No, we do not require a contract or long term commitment. We're happy to walk you through all of your options with no pressure and no obligation.

How do I get started?

The first step is a free home consultation. We'll visit your loved one's home, assess their needs, and recommend the right combination of cameras, sensors, and monitoring options. There's no commitment required to schedule a consultation.

We're happy to answer them. Email us at info@viewingangels.com to schedule a free home consultation or just to ask a question. No pressure, no obligation.
